Yes, all of our properties offer accommodation for staff. Cradle Mountain Hotel offers onsite shared accommodation.  Kitchens and lounge rooms are shared in each house consisting of 12 bedrooms (single and double). Bathrooms are shared between two bedrooms (through interconnecting doors). Free-of-charge laundry facilities are shared amongst the houses. There are four washers and five dryers available for use.

Couples may share a double room at a discounted rate.

All accommodation is fully furnished, including bed linen and cooking equipment. Please enquire with People Services for rental prices.

Many employees, especially our seasonal staff and working holiday makers, come to Cradle Mountain Hotel and our other properties without their own transport. We ask all new employees to make their own way to the hotel to commence induction before starting work – we can assist with transport options if required.

If your assigned staff accommodation is offsite, you will need to arrange your own transport to and from work. Having your own vehicle is useful if you wish to explore the broader area, as there is very limited local public transport.

Yes, all of our employees are required to wear a uniform. In most cases, we will provide branded items of clothing such as shirts and aprons at no charge – we ask employees to provide their own black trousers and appropriate footwear.

All of our positions are covered by the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2010. Many positions are casual and are paid by the hour in accordance with their classification under the Award.

When you apply for a position, your resume is uploaded to our online recruitment system and will be reviewed by the People Services team. You will receive an acknowledgement email to confirm that your application has been received.  Many of our casual positions are advertised on an ongoing basis and do not have a specific closing date, so applications are reviewed as they are received. Cradle Mountain Hotel is situated at the doorstep of Cradle Mountain and Lake St. Clair National Park, offering pristine natural surroundings. Outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, wildlife watching and camping are popular.

Only Telstra's and Optus network works at Cradle Mountain. Please note there are numberous 'black spots' due to the local terrain. Phone service via the Telstra and Optus networks are generally not an issue at the hotel.

New employees need to bring only their personal belongings with them to property, as all of our staff accommodation is fully furnished. You may also bring your own bed linen if you wish. We recommend that you bring some warm clothing and sturdy shoes to cater for all types of weather.
